It’s a panduri. You know, like a lute, only less so.

Anyone who knows me can tell you I have a bit of a thing for fretted instruments. I play the mandolin, badly. I can manage a couple of chords on the guitar. Deep down, though, I’d really like to be able to bang out a nice Georgian tune on the panduri. I even have one. It hangs on my wall, dolefully awaiting the day I’ll work out how to tune it and maybe get round to learning a song. Sadly, though, it’s not all that easy to find a panduri teacher knocking around the West Midlands, and the library was all out of sheet music last time I looked…

Anyway, excuses excuses. This guy clearly has more get-up-and-go than me, because look, he’s taught himself. He’s not even Georgian. I like that. Good man!
